SHERRIN RENTALS RETRO LIVERY AT THE SANDOWN 500

If you've been associated with Sherrin Rentals or Sherrin Racing for some time, you will know that the Sherrin’s have a production car racing team. But you may not realise that Sherrin Rentals also have a history with the V8 Supercars.

10 years ago in 2009, Sherrin Rentals partnered with driver David Russell, taking part in the Dunlop Series. It was an unforgettable time, and we had a thrilling podium finish in the Super2’s at the Bathurst 1000, a win at the Sandown 500 round, and finished third outright for the series. This event was a big part of Sherrin history and our association with Supercar racing.

The Australian Supercar Championship has a missive national and international following. And is up there as one of our most popular sporting events in the country. And with this year being the 10 year anniversary of our memorable event in 2009, Sherrin Rentals were given an exciting opportunity to partner with Matt Stone Racing for two of the 2019 Supercar rounds and relive a bit of history. With a car in the Super2’s race at the Bathurst 1000 a few weeks ago. And now with the #35 car in the Sandown 500 this weekend.

The design of both cars has taken its inspiration from our 2009 design, and is getting a lot of attention from within the industry and from car racing supporters and enthusiast. The colours really stand out amongst the field, and everyone is talking about the eye-catching Sherrin Rentals Supercar!

Having an invested interest when watching a race certainly makes it all the more exciting. And you can watch the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 action live on Channel 10 from 11:30am local AEDT on Sunday 10th November, with main race starting at 1:25pm local AEDT (12:25pm AEST). And every session will be broadcast live on Fox Sports all weekend, with qualifying and the preliminary races on at 12:25pm, 2:25pm and 5:20pm AEDT on Saturday 9th November.

So make sure you tell your friends, and mention it to your associates. It’s a great talking point, and an exciting time for Sherrin Rentals and Sherrin Racing.
