As the 2024 Australian Production Cars season start looms, Sherrin Racing is pulling out all the stops to make sure they can get their championship defence off to the best possible start at round one in just two weeks’ time.
Across February 9-11, the APC racers will descend on Sandown Raceway for four x 30-minute races to open the 2024 championship ledger, with Sherrin Racing having plenty to defend as the reigning outright and Class X champions.
The APC season will consist of five events this year, with the Sandown event to be followed four one-hour races at The Bend (May 31 – June 2), two two-hour races including the Fight in the Night at Queensland Raceway (July 12-14) and four one-hour races at Sydney Motorsport Park (October 18-20) before a huge finale at the Bathurst International (November 8-10, four x 30-minute races).
Sherrin Racing will be on-track for all of these events, fielding the #72 and #27 Sherrin Racing BMW M4s.
And that isn’t all for Sherrin Racing in 2024, with the team once again set to take on the Bathurst 6 Hour across March 29-31 – for this highly prestigious event at ‘The Mountain,’ Grant and Iain Sherrin will team-up in the #27 Sherrin Racing BMW M4 as they look to add to their 6 Hour winning tally.
With such an action-packed schedule for 2024 ahead, it is no surprise that the team has been working hard prepping both cars and will be hitting the track for a test day soon to ensure everything is ready to go for round one of the APC championship at Sandown.
For those wanting to follow along with all the action from home, there is no shortage of opportunities to watch, with all of the APC races to be broadcast live and free on 7Plus, while the Bathurst 6 Hour is also expected to enjoy a comprehensive broadcast package, with details to be released closer to the event. For all events, live timing will also be available thanks to Natsoft.
And of course, Sherrin Racing will be posting updates throughout all of its race weekends at www.facebook.com/SherrinRacing
